New Project Creation Flow — With Project Icons & Member Assignment
In July, we revamped the project creation experience to make it more intuitive and powerful. The new two-step flow helps you set up your projects with greater clarity and control — right from the start.
What’s new?
Step-by-Step Creation Flow:
Creating a project is now a guided two-step process that ensures all important details are covered.
Step 1: Project Details + Icon
You can now personalize your project with a visual identity. In addition to fields like project name, customer, template, start date, and end date, you can now:
Upload an image
Choose an icon
Select an emoji
This helps teams quickly identify and differentiate projects at a glance.

Step 2: Assign Workspace Members
In the second step, you can directly add members from your workspace to the project. Assign people right away so everyone has access from day one — reducing follow-ups and setup time.
How to use it?
Click Create Project from the Projects page.
Fill out project details and set an image/icon in Step 1.
Add relevant workspace members in Step 2.
Hit Create, and your project is ready to go — fully set up with context and collaborators.This update helps you kick off projects faster and more effectively, ensuring your team is aligned from the very beginning.
